RUBIN

RUBIN is a successful developer and manufacturer of measuring instruments used in the control of parameters of drilling and cement slurries, including:

One of the problems faced in the process of well construction when drilling argillaceous deposits with PDC bits is balling. The most accessible balling prevention method (among the existing ones) is improvement of the anti-adhesion properties of the flushing liquid (read the corresponding article available in the “Useful information” section of our web-site).

The adhesiometer ABR-1 Model RS 01.17 is intended for determination of the clay-to-metal adhesion forces acting in the drill mud. It is used for selection of formulas (agents) having
effect on the drill mud adhesion properties in terms of test laboratory conditions.

This instrument was developed by the order of Burintekh R&D Co. Patent of Burintekh R&D Co. This model produced since 2017 has an independent and safe power supply of 14V.
The price was reduced due to the improved design. The tape breaking mechanism was replaced with a more convenient and reliable one. The adhesiometer consists of two main units: a unit for measuring the tensile strength of the tested specimens and an integrated press for their preliminary compression with a strength of 106±2 kg.

The typical drill mud control laboratory LGR-3 “Rubin”, Version I (LGR-3, LBR-3), with/without a plastic table, is designated for drill mud parameter control (in compliance with RD39-00147001-773-2004 “Drill mud control methods” and STO Gazprom 7.3-002-2010). It helps to solve standard issues
associated with the drill mud parameter control in the process of oil & gas wells drilling. The laboratory is shipped to the Russian market as well as to the CIS and other countries.

The BM-6 instrument is intended to measure the filtration (fluid loss) index of drill muds used in the process of oil & gas well drilling. On completion of the drill mud filtration index measurement, to the thickness and the anti-friction properties of the clay cake formed
on the filter are measured by the KTK-2 “Rubin” instrument.

Specific features of the BM-6 instrument, version 2012, from “Rubin” R&D Co.: tested on the UPG-2 test unit (consequently, no leakage on the ram) and certification in conformity with RD 018- 84448846-2010. No hard efforts are required to close the valve and the tray.

This instrument is intended to measure the friction coefficient of the filtration cake formed in the drill flush fluid. Such measurements are performed in field laboratories and at
drilling rigs to estimate the efficiency of lubricating additives and operative intervention in the process of drilling in abnormal conditions.

Why this particular design? Because it supersedes previous models (with manual and electrical drives), combining their functions and providing better stability of readings (it is possible now to change the lifting speed). Moreover, as distinct from similar products (having scales that cannot be certified without special devices), its performance can be checked by the operating personnel! It is essential for all products having the word “instrument” in their name. The most popular model!

This instrument is intended to measure the limit static shear stress. It is used in oil & gas industry in field laboratories and especially directly at drilling rigs. The SNS-2 design, version 2009, gives more accurate readings and is convent to use. Being the basic standard instrument for limit static shear stress measurement, it has gained a good reputation in Russia and the CIS countries. This model has been developed and is produced only by Rubin R&D Co. in Ufa!

Measuring module, model “Rubin-01.17” (Zhigach-Yarov instrument) is intended to determine the clay (mud powder) swelling factor. The swelling factor is measured with the method based on determination of clay (mud powder) volume as it swells in the analyzed liquid medium.
It meets the requirements of RD 39-3-1273-85; STO Gazprom 2-3.2-020-2005.

The instrument design is continuously improved and may differ from that shown in the figure. The main distinction from previous models: a divided chamber with liquid and an indicator.

This instrument is intended to measure the surface tension of surfactant solutions by determination of the volume of drops squeezed at the boundaries:
surfactant solution – anti-polar liquid or surfactant solution – air.

This model offers incredibly easy and convenient operation that can be appreciated by starting to use it! Economic quantity of test solutions! Stable readings and low error value that could not be reached in the previous versions!
