MULTIPHASE LEVEL METER UMF700 WITH OIL/WATER MEASURING OPTION

Multiphase level meter UMF700 is a unique tool for technologist that gives quantitative and qualitative
characteristics of the liquid condition in a tank or process equipment. Functioning of UMF700 is based on the double effect of electromagnetic waves propagate properties in the liquid: reflection from the media interfaces and changing propagation velocity of electromagnetic wave in oil/water liquid. The first effect allows us to determine phase separation levels, the second effect - to identify phase separation as gas/oil, oil/ emulsion or emulsion/water. UMF700 possesses an additional channel for determination of the water content in emulsion. A special diagnostic program allows to determine the quality of sediment and the structure of the permeable emulsion zone.

APPLICATION FOR TANKS

UMF700 is effectively used for different types of tanks for measuring phase separation levels: gas/ oil,
oil/emulsion, emulsion/water. The function of determining the water content in emulsion allows the
operative accounting of the amount of oil in tank. The work of UMF700 does not depend on the complexity of the technological process. Diagnostic function gives information about all separation phases in liquid for sludge quality determination.

APPLICATION FOR TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES

On technological devices UMF700 can be used not only as a measuring equipment, but also as a device for regulating valves for the separating gas, oil and water. Built-in control allows to achieve oil and water of specified quality. If it is necessary to use additional parameters (flow speed, pressure, temperature) during the regulation process, UMF700 can be connected by external devices (sensors) via RS485 Modbus Master interfaces, current loop 4-20 mA, discrete input. UMF700 controls valves of various types. Transmission of data about the measurement results and the status of the valves is carried out via Ethernet using the Modbus TCP / IP protocol.

APPLICATION FOR OIL PIPELINESAND WATER SEPARATORS

On technological devices with divided oil and water treatment zones (pipe water separators and end phase dividers) several UMF700 sensors can be installed. In this case, the embedded software provides comprehensive processing of data, giving a distributed picture of the technological process along the entire length of the technological apparatus.

The use of an additional effect - the attenuation of the electromagnetic signal during its propagation in the water zone - allows to achieve the preparation of water quality with the content of oil products not exceeding 50 mg / l. The signal from the relay output allows UMF 700 to inform about exceeding the amount of oil products of a given level and to shut off the pumping pump or close the dump valve.
